Operating a spacecraft is an expensive and difficult task which has historically been almost exclusively carried out by national agencies since space exploration began in the 1950’s. However, the 21st century has witnessed a rapid growth of private entities entering the field. Robust, well-tested software and trained personnel with niche expertise are required to run these activities, hence smaller companies generally rely on this as a costly service provided by more well-established enterprises. Luna Space’s mission is to level the playing field by turning this into an easily accessible service.

Luna Space will offer Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics as a Service (MAaaS, FDaaS), delivered in the cloud with a quick turnaround time and at low cost to disrupt the current market. We will focus on the lunar market in the future, which is projected to boom in the next decade.

The team has decades of complementary expertise in the space, finance and business development domains, including developing and using robust, flight-proven flight dynamics and mission analysis software, as well as building and scaling business from the ground up.
